I have the following code which works fine for updating a table but it takes ages to run (2 mins)

What I want to do is to make the query faster so if I have a 20 id’s that are in the updates table I would like it to update them all at once.
Is there any way to make it faster, I’m guessing it is probably the fetch but I can’t figure out how to make it any faster.
