When I was in college, I read the book Srimad Bhagavatam. I remember being blown away by the concept of Sankirtana (public religion). The whole idea is that we gather together and pray to God at the same time. I still remember how shocked I was and it just changed my idea of â€‹â€‹God.I wanted to know more about prayer, so I asked the girl who usually sits there in the chairs at the table next to the sofa and asked her to explain it to me. She told me that before we pray to God, we ask Him for mercy, for this we have come. Oh, this concept of God being so kind.
Then I decided to look into this in more detail. I tried to understand everything: what is prayer? And is God good and does he have a heart? Ultimately, I realized that he just seems like that because he’s everywhere. And when you get close to him, you see his concern for us, he loves us and takes care of us.
Thus, if we pray, it means that this God loves us, helps us. What could be better than asking God for some mercy? It’s just a wonderful feeling.
That’s why when I wrote a little poem about prayer in Sanskrit, I was looking forward to people believing in it.
Of course, this is just another story about God and our love for him.
All it takes for this story to be well written is beautiful poetry.
So what really needs to be done? Do I need to pray before meditation, or just pray after?
When you get up early in the morning and get ready for meditation, prayer is essential. Just tell yourself that in order to meditate, you need to take mental meditation, and from now on, do not leave this practice. You will pray during meditation.
It can be a long process, but nothing can be worse than meditation without prayer.
You will meditate more, faster, and eventually you may reach a state called prajna, when you no longer think about meditation. And it’s such a blessing.
