Today, we’re going to learn how to use three different parts of Photoshop: the Quick Selection tool, the Brush tool, and the Lasso tool. We’ll use each one for different purposes: first, to select a portion of an image, then to make changes and remove areas, and finally, to outline a shape.
When selecting a new layer, you can adjust the opacity of the layer by moving the mouse over the layer thumbnail, which is displayed on the left side of the Layers panel.
Let’s start by selecting a portion of an image.
Getting Started in Photoshop
Open a new, blank PSD file and then use the Quick Selection tool on your photo, like the one pictured below.
On the right side of the window, notice that the Desaturate filter is selected. This is due to the Auto setting on the Color section of the Tool Options dialog (on the right of the window).
The Auto setting applies the filter to all of the selected pixels and applies it for the duration of the selection. So, in this case, all of the pixels turned light gray.

On the left side of the window, notice the white “i” marker. Drag the marker up or down to select a portion of the image, until you see the white box. The area that is selected will turn light gray.
When you’re done, move your mouse off of the image.
Next, we’ll learn how to select a portion of an image using the Brush tool, which we’ll use to remove areas or change the color of an image.

Select the Brush tool from the Tools panel and, as before, use the Quick Selection tool (select a portion of the image you want to paint on) to select the area you want to paint on.
Let’s paint on this image (sans the text and square) and see what we can do:

I am trying to create an instance of a class inside a static method like this:

MyClass gets the data from the database, and the GetRandomDataFromDatabase() does the processing on the data and returns an object. This works fine until it gets to this line in the code above, where it returns this error:
CS1061: ‘MyClass’ does not contain a definition for ‘GetRandomDataFromDatabase’ and no extension method ‘GetRandomDataFromDatabase’ accepting a first argument of type ‘MyClass’ could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
I’m new to C#, but I guess I am missing something. How do I fix this?

If you want to create an instance of your class that’s why you invoke static method getRandomDataFromDatabase, then:
1) Inorder to get an instance of that you need an instance of the class.
2) If you want to create an instance of the class you should create an instance of that class.
