Gov. Robert Bentley made headlines Wednesday when he announced a new committee to review open-records laws.
The governor did not outline any specific legislation he wants to see passed, but we have been told the committee would include a House Representative from Jefferson County.
In early reports last year, it was speculated that Soaker himself would challenge Rep. Barry Fleming (R-Florence), who is running for Alabama Attorney General.
Perhaps that is still the plan.
