although the plot does travel to the past in terminator 2, the movie never gets boring. the action is impressive, the characters are likeable, and the script is engaging. when the story does move to a new location, the action is a lot of fun and cameron’s special effects are absolutely amazing.
the story of the film also revolves around a new terminator, but this is almost the only thing that remains the same. the t-1000 plays an important role in terminator 2, but he’s not quite the same as the t-800 from the first movie. this is only a problem for terminator 2’s plot, and it’s not a bad problem to have. the story is extremely entertaining, and the film is packed with more memorable moments than you’d expect.

terminator 2: judgment day (1991) is an awesome sci-fi action movie. the story is very good and the movie keep you glued until the end of the movie. the plot twists are quite surprising and you should definitely give it a try.
in this movie, the terminator is sent back in time to kill the young john connor, the leader of the resistance against the machines. connor is destined to lead the human race to victory in the inevitable war against the machines.
terminator 2: judgment day is a follow-up to the first terminator film, in which the cyborg antagonist, known as the terminator, is sent back in time to kill the human leader of the resistance, john connor. connor was meant to be killed as a child and raised by a family of farmers to protect him from the machines. john’s brother is killed in battle, and now connor must lead humanity to victory in the inevitable war against the machines. the film also stars edward furlong, robert patrick, joe spano, and earl boen.
john connor (edward furlong) is a young man living in 1984. his brother has been killed in an earlier battle against the machines, and connor is raised by a family of farmers. when the machines invade the u.s., connor leads the resistance against them. the events of the first film are ignored until the final battle, which involves connor’s son, john iii (jared leto), who is just a young child. in the final battle, connor must choose to save the world or save his son. another key element of the story is that the filmmakers made a film called terminator 2: judgment day, which could be considered a spoof.
the special effects are absolutely incredible, thanks to the new computer animation technology that cameron is able to use after ten years in the film industry. the battle between the two terminators looks and sounds fantastic. even though the action sequences look great, the plot is absolutely nonsensical. halfway through the film, cameron introduces his own interpretation of time travel theory that is just as ridiculous as the ones presented in the previous terminator movies. i would have liked to have seen the original terminator scientists, john connor, and sarah connor (linda hamilton) explain the implications of time travel theory to john, instead of this new time travel theory that has nothing to do with the original concept. in addition, the characters are almost completely inconsistent. there are even unexplained jumps in time that take place. i feel like the characters, plot, and special effects were thrown together.
