it just seems to go round and round and round, and you have to keep your head down and pray that you don’t trip over. the single player mode is a complete waste of time, and when you consider that it is the only way of playing the game, the fact that it just doesn’t work at all, is a disgrace and surely the sign of a game that has been rushed out to beat its rivals to the punch. the fact that the game only has two difficulty levels means that the players on the more tricky levels will always be hopelessly outclassed, and by the time you get to level two you might as well just play fifa 99..
that is how to use the touch screen – if there is only one thing wrong with the game it has to be the fact that it is just so damn slow and difficult to play. it is so slow that you will always be waiting for the ball to come to you, and that means you will be waiting just as much for the next challenge that comes your way. you will have to chase the ball for ages, and you will lose it after about 20 minutes. it is just so slow that it is totally impossible to run in and beat players, and you will be chased by more players after you have won the ball than you will be able to score. and if you do manage to pass it, you won’t be able to do anything with it, and as a result you will never see the ball again. also the ball will be too slow to make the most of it, because there is no way it is going to come to you if you aren’t playing a long ball.
so while you do have a free kick, and your player can run, the ball will just go straight to someone else, and you will be chased by two or three players at once, or you will be tackled by them and the ball will be lost. and when you do win the ball, the other player will be so slow in getting the ball away that you will be back to square one before you know it. one player is so slow that you will take over the ball, only to see him, or her, simply run past you and take the ball from you. this is the only way of playing the game, and it is just so miserable.
