while its ok, there are some graphical glitches on ps4 that really detract from the overall experience. theyre not really noticeable when playing on the ps4, but when you switch to pc and then back, theyre a bit more noticeable. in the pc version of nier: automata, on the other hand, theyre actually distracting, especially when playing on a high-end pc with a huge screen like a 60-inch 4k display. to be honest, i think the game would look better without the extra graphical effects. it would still be pretty, but i think without them, theres less going on, and its more focused on the gameplay itself. well-optimized games tend to look better than well-optimized games. in other words, i think nier: automata would look better without denuvo.
actually, theres something else that would probably improve the game even more. from what denuvo has said in the past, its purpose is to protect games for a set amount of time. if we look at other games that have been cracked, its been about a month or so. rime was cracked in the first week, syberia 3 in the first couple of months, doom in the first few days, the climb in the first month. this is the true purpose of denuvo. denuvo should be protecting a game for a month at least, and maybe a year if we want to be generous. nier: automata was released just a few days ago, and rime was released about a month ago. and i found a download of doom on a torrent site just a few days after it was released. a few days is not enough time to crack a game.
