The letter, sent to Immigration Minister Scott Morrison and addressed to the Prime Minister, included the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Australian Industry Group, Australian Council of Trade Unions, Business Council of Australia, Business Council of Australia, Tourism Council Australia, Australian Medical Association and Australian Institute of International Affairs.

The signatories said a review of the 457 visa program found that the system for approving skilled workers was well suited to meeting Australia’s labour market needs, but was not working as well as it could.

A review of the 457 program by economist Dr Bruce Wolper found the program could do more to attract skilled people to Australia.

“There are a number of improvements that should be made to the system including increasing the number of visa places for skilled migration in order to allow the intake of a greater number of skilled migrants,” it read.

The letter said the 457 visa program should be moved from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection to the Department of Employment in order to make it more efficient, following a successful trial of this arrangement in New South Wales.

The signatories also called for improved coordination between Australia’s public and private sectors to encourage more employers to provide training programs and facilitate successful transition to permanent residency.

“To achieve the Government’s ambitious targets, we recommend the Government adopt a two-pronged approach, firstly, to improve the visa program, and secondly, to strengthen the skills base of the economy by encouraging business and the private sector to develop programs that provide skills to workers,” it said.

“We believe it is important that the Immigration Department works with all stakeholders including the private sector, to improve the system.”

The signatories noted that there was significant pressure on the immigration department for the Coalition to allow more skilled migrants.

“Business and the private sector support the Government’s immigration policy,” it read.

“However, with the policies in place, we would like to see more workers in Australia.”

A volunteer system. it takes CPU cycles and puts them toward projects in order to gain use of all your computer’s potential.

The aim of this plugin is to make the easy way to switch on/off a BOINC project according to your needs.

The plugin is based on the model of the Clock app, which allows you to view real time on your desktop. This app allows you to create your own tasks for BOINC projects, thus helping you get more resources for these projects.

The plugin is fairly simple but will display the clock app in the windows taskbar.

This plugin tries to use the ‘DisableProjects’ plugin and ‘General.xml’ preferences file in an effort to reduce the CPU time this app consumes in order to allow for the BOINC projects to run as much as possible.

Currently works with the boinc-project-clock.app. This is a ‘client’ for the Clock app, written in python. It creates a small window on your desktop that looks just like the Clock app, but shows projects that you have submitted to boinc.

The ‘client’ does not work with the boinc-clients-clock.app or boinc-manager-clock.app. I will update this to fix that when I have time.

Installation:- Copy the ‘boinc-clock-client.py’ file to C:\Users\[USER]\AppData\Roaming\boinc\boinc-clock-client.py- Double click the boinc-clock-client.py file to run it (a small window should appear on your desktop)
