looking for the next entry in the popular blazblue series? look no further, blazblue: continuum shift has japanese voice acting and text. there are a few characters that speak japanese as well, however the main characters do not, so it is mainly english. this game has a lot of content and is highly recommended.

im not sure if its a problem with lec 16 or vnr 14.3, since the problem happened only on one of my machines. anyway, lec 16(english language pack) is a large dl (~4mb). vnr 14.3(japanese language pack) should be able to handle it. just drop it in the root of the vnr installation folder and the patches should install fine. note that vnr 14.3 was the last version that supported lec 15.

ive got it working fine using the latest version of vnr 14.3. it was not able to install the patches on my other machine which had lec 16 and vnr 14.2, so i was forced to manually run the patches, but otherwise it worked fine.

ive been working on this for a while, but have only just finished the fixes and have uploaded 0.3.1.2. the full changelog is included in the readme.txt file. ive fixed all the major issues, so if you have any difficulties with the game after the update, email me and i will try my best to help out. ive made a few improvements to the system to make it run better, the patch is a total of about 2mb in size, so it wont take long to download. if you want to try the patch out, you can download it from here:

i am happy to say that the latest update is v1.10. the release notes are here. im not planning on releasing a version number increment, so i just went ahead and incremented the english patch. if youre reading this, you probably know that i am no longer actively developing the patch, so i wouldnt be surprised if i do some future updates, but until then, let me know if there are any bugs or requests!

dead or alive xtreme 2 is the latest entry in the popular dead or alive series. this game has a lot of great content that can keep you entertained for hours. despite this, the english voice acting is horrible. most of the characters sound like they were recorded by a drunk person. and it doesn’t help that there is no japanese voice acting either. some of the sound effects are also really bad. for example, the “death clap” sound effect, you can clearly hear the door slam shut, and then a new sound is played. how come the door didn’t make a different sound when it was opened or closed?
the game has a few japanese voice overs, but they are often cut off or choppy, and not all of them are voiced. the english subtitles are incomplete, so the viewer is unable to read some text. there is also a text option, but it’s not available in the game itself. an example would be that a character is wearing a white shirt, but there is a text option that will read “white”. in some cases the subtitles are also misaligned (for example, someone mentions “it’s a fine day” and the subtitles are placed over “day”).
blue dragon ii, known as blue dragon in the west, is a famous third-person action game, and is the sequel to the blue dragon, released only for the nintendo 64. it was originally released in japan on december 22, 1999, and the game is available on the psn for the ps3 and xbox 360. it’s a 3d side-scrolling action game, and there are a lot of enemies to battle. the game features gorgeous graphics and sound, and the story is pretty good. it’s a bit short, but it’s very fun, and it’s the only game that i’ve played so far with english voice acting. the problem, of course, is that the japanese audio is all in japanese. no option to change languages, nor is there a way to play the game in english.
